May 10, 2021

PwC positioned in the Winner’s Circle in the new HFS report ‘HFS Top 10 Workday Financial Management (FM) Services 2021. Some of PwC’s strengths that were highlighted in the report included Established brand and credibility in finance, FM expertise, Tools Investment, Geographical expansion plans and Voice of the Customer.

The report evaluated 10 service providers in this research and HFS spoke with 26 client introduction references provided by the participating service providers.

HFS states that ‘Clients commend PwC for the quality of its account management, its geographic footprint and scale, the strength of its resources, and its understanding of the finance process. One client said that “the communication and collaboration were outstanding” throughout the engagement. Another said that “the team was really great.”

“PwC has strong relationships with CFOs, strengthened by a commitment to invest in services and solutions to support finance transformation initiatives,” said Khalda De Souza, Research Director at HFS Research, and author of the HFS Workday Finance Management Services 2021 Top 10 report. “We ranked PwC in 2nd position in the research overall, and in 1st position for the Voice of the Customer category, reflecting the highest reference scores in this research.”

With regards to ‘Geographical expansion plan’, HFS highlights that ‘PwC intends to strengthen its Workday FM services in Europe and APAC in the next year. Its understanding of local regulatory compliance issues lends PwC credibility in meeting specific local country finance requirements.’

It is noted that ‘PwC has developed expertise and proprietary tools to support clients’ FM transformation journeys. Examples include PwC’s change management services, which include its Change Navigator and Change Communicator digital tools. Also, PwC’s Digital Risk services assist clients in understanding the implications of non-compliance to regulations. Much of this is based on PwC’s own experience of deploying Workday internally to more than 275,000 employees in over 150 countries. This lends PwC increased credibility to deliver Workday FM engagements.’

The report also highlights that ‘PwC has invested $3 billion to develop new tools, technologies, and change agents and train staff on emerging technologies and has 25 certified developers on the Workday Extend platform for Workday HCM and FM.’

‘We are proud to be recognised by HFS and clients for our excellence in Workday Financial Management Services’ said Russ Riggen PwC Global Workday Leader. ‘PwC’s Financial Management solution powered by Workday provides a digital, integrated, and powerful platform to help companies achieve a finance function that does more than just keep the books - it can help reinvent businesses.
